DIY Dog Beds

Hi, everyone! We have a new fun craft to show you today!

I am going to turn this box into two dog beds for our dogs Brownie and Biscuit! This is a box I got this giveaway prize from. I've been saving it for a crafting opportunity!

I started by cutting off the lid to the box.

Then, I cut the box in half right down the middle.

I began covering the sides with scrapbook paper.

For the outside of the box, I chose this textured blue wood.

On the inside, I used this woody texture.

I covered the raw edges of the cardboard with ribbons to make it look neater and to give it some detail.

I then folded a piece of fabric and stuck it in the bottom to use as a mattress.

I could have stopped here, but I decided to sew a few pillows for the beds to give them some more detail. I chose the polka dotted material to match our bedspread. Rory chose the handwriting print because she loves to write! She also added some denim to the pillows to make them look more rustic.

All done! They look so cute in our room!

Our doggies love them!

May all of your dreams come true! ~Cindy Rose
