Today is the last day of camp! Kirsten came over for some tea made on our (long awaited) camp stove.
"Are you sure that you don't want to stay here longer?" asked Kirsten.
"No, I really think I should go home," I answered.
"But you've done such a good job here!" she said, gesturing to the crafts we had made.
"And you think of really good ideas for your campers!" she said, gesturing to the camper's walls.
"I think I need a break from camp life," I told her, "but I've made a decision."
"What's that?"
"I'm going to be a counselor at Camp Gowonagin next month!"
"That will be fun!" said Kirsten, "I'll be so lonely here without you though. I'm staying all summer!"
"It will be lonely at home, too, but maybe I can come and visit here for a day."
"That's a good idea!"
We took our last walk around the campgrounds. I'm going to miss my best friend!
