Rapunzel Braid

Want to know how to get that super cool Rapunzel braid in Punzie's photo shoot on your doll?   We learned how to do it from this great tutorial from Never Grow Up.

Start by brushing all the tangles out of your
doll's hair.

Take a section about this size from both sides
and keep it out of the way.   We will these later.

Take a small piece of hair form directly behind the put-aside hair...

...and braid it all the way down.   Tie off with a
clear elastic.

Next, take a section the same size as the last braid from just
behind the ear...

...and braid it all the way down.   Tie off with a
clear elastic, just like the last one.

Do the same thing to the other side.   Don't
forget to leave out a section!

Place the braids that came from behind the ear
with the saved sections.   We will also use these
later.

Divide hair (besides those put-aside sections!)
into three equal parts.   Leave the middle part alone.
We will use it later.

Take one of the side parts and braid it in a normal braid.
Notice, the small braid from the top is being used here.   Try to
keep it showing throughout the entire braid.

Here is what it should look like.   See how the
small braid is seen throughout the entire larger
braid?   Don't forget to tie off with a clear elastic!

Do the same thing to the other side part.   Don't
forget to keep the small braid visible!

Now we will use those front sections that we
saved in the beginning.   Pull them both back and
tie them off with a clear elastic, like so.   Leave
those other small braids aside!

Now, braid the middle part and the two
medium-sized braids into one super-big braid.
Leave the small braids aside!

Now, we will use those small braids and criss-
cross them over the big braid.   Keep them in place
at the end of the braid with another clear elastic.

Use flowers to help cover some of the rough bits!

Enjoy your Rapunzel braid!   ☺

May all of your dreams come true,
Cindy Rose
