Camp Doll Diaries 2015: Arrival

Anna Catherine and Punzie dropped Mulan, Meri, Anna, Posie Beth, and I off at Camp Doll Diaries on their way home from a wedding.   We all waved goodbye to them.   I waved the longest; I didn't want them to leave!

As soon as I turned around, Meri was already getting into trouble.   ☺

"Meri, what are you doing?" I asked.

"I'm trying to climb this tree," she said.   "Please don't distract me!"

I sighed.   "Meri, we haven't even signed in yet."

Meri hopped down.   "Fine."

We looked around our campgrounds.   "This must be our cabin," I said.   "Who's that on the slide?"

It's Kirsten!   "Hi, Cindy!" she yelled.

"Hello, Kirsten!"

"Your cousin and sisters are the first campers to arrive," explained Kirsten.   "I'll show you around your cabin."

The floor was empty and bare...

...and the roof seemed it would fall down any minute.

"Kirsten, I'm so nervous!" I said.   "I've never been away from home without Anna Catherine before, and what if something happens to us out here?   I don't like the outdoors."

"I know you're nervous," soothed Kirsten, "but think about how much fun your cousin and sisters are going to have this week!   They'll never forget how much fun they had with you as their counselor!"

I glanced over at my cousin and sisters playing on the playground outside.   They looked so happy!

"I guess you're right, Kirsten," I said, "but if I get poison ivy, it's your fault!"
